AmiQure was a project within Numico (the holding company of Nutricia, Milupa and Cow & Gate; three well established companies active in the field of clinical and infant nutrition. Currently part of Danone). Since 2003 amiQure is a privately owned company which sells its products all over Europe.

The scientists of Numico Research developed products for disorders such as osteoarthritis, hipdysplasia, eczema, allergy, obesity, lack of vitality, hairballs, bladder stones and ageing disorders. Their ambition was and has been aimed at obtaining pet friendly alternatives for the treatment of health problems. With respect to the number of positive responses from pet owners they have succeeded in this aim.
