EnlargeAs pathogens enter the body through the food, a healthy intestinal flora is essential. This means the intestinal flora contains sufficient 'good' bacteria to eliminate the 'bad' bacteria. For pathogens that are able to pass the intestines or penetrate the body in another way, it is essential the white blood cells have sufficient capacity to defend and eliminate the pathogens. An important group within the white blood cells is called lymphocytes, which in turn are subdivided into:
- Natural Killer cells (NK cells)
- B cells
- and T cells
NK cells are especially active in cancer and HIV and are therefore described as the most powerful part of the white blood cells.
Arabinoxylan
This is a substance which has shown a positive effect on the immune system, especially on the Natural Killer cells. Arabinoxylan is a fiber, which occurs mainly in grassy crops such as rice and maize.
The product amiQure Immune Support contains high doses of the extract arabinoxylan.

Scientific studies:

Three animal studies conducted with Arabinoxylan (highly concentrated supplements):
- in 6 healthy mice, it appeared to be a significant increase in NK cells after 28 days.
- in mice with atopic eczema, it appeared to be clear evidence of a decrease in symptoms.
- in mice with tumors showed that after 21 days the activity of NK cells by up to 239% had increased.

Studies in people with a high dose supplement arabinoxylan, showed the following:
- in five patients with breast cancer, the NK activity increased within 1 to 2 weeks.
- 27 patients with various tumors (breast, prostate, leukemia and uterus), which were treated in the regular way (surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy), in the patients receiving a radiotherapy or chemotherapy (usually a fierce attack on the immune system) could be determined the activity of NK cells was increased by a factor of 2 to 5.
- in 32 patients the tumor markers remained stable for four years.
